Our Story
My wife and I have two new puppies, Roxie (18 months) and Honey (6 months). We live in a townhouse in a busy part of town with no yard so walks are constant, especially for our young puppies.
My walks have always been chaotic with Roxie but once I had two puppies, walks quickly became a sore spot in my day and I was getting angry / punishing my puppies even though I knew that was the wrong approach. I had never invested time to train them properly and knew punishment was not the answer.
I decided to do something about it so went to Google and ChatGPT. I found that there was no option that worked for me. I wanted something easy, clear, and something I could track progress with (it's always more fun to gamify things). So I leaned on my background of analytics and built a proper tracker and process and built my own program based on best practices I found in my search.
Once I started using the tracker, it made a HUGE impact! I saw immediate improvement and was tempted to be done, but stuck to the plan and I'm glad I did because I continued to see progress. Walks are now a great part of my day and very low stress (like they should be!).
A friend asked if I would share a copy of my tracker since they were in a similar situation and they absolutely loved it and urged me to share it with more new puppy owners. That's what lead to starting Pawgress Tracker!
Depending on how successful this tracker is, I plan to create similar products for potty training, tricks, etc...
